Tree of Kindness

In support of mental health month, DBV members gathered together on the 9th of October to create leaves for the Schizy Inc ‘Tree of Kindness’ at Ross House. Each person brought their unique perspective to their paper cut-out leaves with art and messages about things for good mental health that are important to them. The tree, found near reception on level 3, displayed these contributions for the month. Here are some of the messages:

  • Laughter, confidence, positivity and relaxation is good for mental health. By Kathy
  • You are loved.
  • Doing art and craft helps improve my mental health. By Dennis
  • Insight, communication, support, self care. By Phoenix
  • Inclusion, positivity, social connection, laughter. By Jael and Jackie

These events are supported by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Go to www.dss.gov.au for more information.
