Upcoming events:

  • Friday 28 August: Walking group at Albert Park Lake. Meeting 10:30 at Flinders Street Station, or 11am at Swan Picnic area Albert Park. Finishing around 2pm.
  • Wednesday 9 Sep: Craft, Footy fever AFL creations with Kathy Wise at Ross House’s level three. Event time is 11:30 to 3 pm. Refreshments will be provided, but bring your own lunch.
  • Thursday 17 Sep: Rec program at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum (RSVP required) from 10:30am to 2pm. This event is free. Please RSVP to Bec Swansson at Able Australia.
  • Wednesday 23 Sep: DBV Cafe, Ambulance Victoria at Ross House, level 4 from 11:30 to 3pm. Refreshments and interpreters will be provided.

Wednesdays:

  • First Wednesday each month (12-4pm): DBV committee meeting (committee members only)
  • Second Wednesday each month (11-3pm): Craft group – deafblind arts and crafts, skill sharing and outings
  • Fourth Wednesday each month (12-4pm): Deafblind Café, a DBV monthly deafblind social group with guest presenters.
  • No Wednesday activities in Dec and Jan

Thursdays:

  • Every Thursday 10am to 4pm: DBV Connect, a Deafblind drop-in program with accessible technology and skill-sharing. Come and try new devices, get support and information, share skills and social connection
  • Closed over holiday period 15 Dec to 15 Jan
