On Wednesday 26th November, Deafblind Victoria held its fourth AGM (Annual General Meeting) and Christmas party in the Hayden Raysmith Room at Ross House.
The AGM is a special event where members help make sure DBV is going in the right direction. They ask questions about the finances and vote to elect the Committee of Management.
We celebrated DBV’s achievements for 2025. Deafblind staff members shared what we’ve learned runing our events and programs.
This AGM and end-of year celebration was especially deafblind-powered! One committee member reflected: “it was a really good opportunity to see and experience deafblind individuals leading and running an AGM”. The raffle was also run – and won – by deafblind people!
We were even serenaded with Christmas carols by one of our highly-talented community members. Thanks Alan!
We also thank Fiona York for acting as the returning officer for the meeting.
