20th May to 26th May is National Volunteer Week. The theme for this year is “Something for Everyone”.
Volunteers play an important role at DBV by supporting our staff in the office, supporting Deafblind members at events and assisting with admin duties. In February 2024, DBV was nominated for “inclusive volunteer organisation” at the Volunteering Victoria Awards. Alex, Jenny and Ntennis attended the Awards at Government House. While we didn’t win, it’s a proud achievement for DBV to be recognised for our volunteer program.
