On Thursday 20 Aug, the DBV and Able Australia Recreation Program went to PARC Frankston Pool and Gym for a day of relaxation and fun.
Gina shared her experience in Auslan in the video below. We have also included photos from the day.

I’m here at Frankston Pool for the first time. It seems very nice and it is quite big. There are a lot of things you can do here.
First I went to the swimming pool and I did 10 laps. A person pulled a pool noodle as I kicked along.
Then I walked over and saw Michael Doherty. We had a chat then went over to the paddling pool, with knee deep water. The water was warm.
There is a slide that sprays water, which was not on. It seems like a lovely place.
Next I headed to the spa, which was good with strong jets that massaged my back.
We saw that there was a little water park with different equipment. Powerful sprays of water hit you from all directions. It’s a good massage on your shoulders and back. And then suddenly you’re drenched when a big bucket dumps water on you! It caught me by surprise. It was really fun.
Last… oh hang on – did I get the order right? Anyway, I went to the sauna which was so soothing and relaxing.
It was time to go – almost 1:00. I got changed, ate some lunch – I brought a sandwich with me. I now feel warm, maybe a little bit hot. It’s nice!
