Many of us know the stress of our phone or braille display battery going flat when we are out and about. As deafblind people, we might feel isolated, and even unsafe in that situation. In the video below, DBV member Andrew talks about a cheap portable charger that can help.

[Andrew shows a small blue square gadget, about the size of his palm].
You can use it to charge your phone, iPad, laptop, camera, and other things. Even a video camera! There are coloured lights that work with music or voice. You can activate it by holding down the side button.

This is from Kmart. It was $39 but on sale now for $29.
I bought it because sometimes I forget to charge my phone. I keep this charger with me just in case. I also have a little cord to use with it, about 5cm long. It’s strong and won’t break like a longer cord. It only cost me $5!
