Hi, itโs Andrew Howard here. I want to show you my phone case with a ring on the back. The ring folds out and becomes a stand for the phone. I prefer to use it in “landscape” orientation; I don’t like it in “portrait”. I also have a red case with a stand. These stands are handy when you make video calls in sign language. I prefer the first one.
You can buy these at shopping centres in the glass cabinets. They have different types: phone cases with fold-out rings, and others with a strong sticker you put on the back of your phone, and a ring connects to the sticker with a magnet.

Hi, Andrew Howard here. I want to show you a phone water bottle magnet thing I got online. You can have hot or cold drinks in the bottle. There’s a ring around the lid. The ring folds up and becomes a stand. A phone can attach to the ring magnetically.
It’s at a good height for video calls in sign language. If you’re out and about and get a video call, you can take out the bottle and place your phone on it to chat comfortably in sign language, instead of holding the phone awkwardly with one hand while you try to sign with the other. That can be really uncomfortable!
I have another handy gadget: it is a ring that attaches magnetically right onto the back of my phone. It makes the phone stick on metal things like a fridge, so you can make video calls standing up. I don’t worry if people give me funny looks when I’m signing to my phone. I just ignore them and enjoy the conversation. I’m Deaf and this is what works for me!
I looked in different places online, found a good price and ordered it. A couple of weeks later a parcel arrived in the mail. By then, I’d forgotten that I’d ordered it! It was a happy surprise.
That’s all from me here at DBV, where I work. Bye!
